WONDERFUL GROUP of rare & historical very early 17th Century DUTCH EAST INDIA COMPANY items. Note Zacharias Wagener (also spelled Wagenaer, Wagenaar and Wagner) (11 May 1614 – 12 October 1668) was an adventurer, chief of Dejima and commander and governor of the Cape Colony. He was also the draftsman and writer of the "Thier-Buch", with 109 drawings of fish, birds, etc. from Brazil. He was the first to order Japanese porcelain after European and his own example for the VOC, but not Imari porcelain, as suggested by Arnoldus Montanus and his followers.
