A BEAUTIFUL ITEM. Superb & VERY RARE CORNER MARGINAL example. An skilled engraver was employed by the GPO to produce an official imitation of this High Value stamp to determine how vulnerable this issue was to potential FORGERY. See footnote under SG.Spec' J124 in Stanley Gibbons Specialised Volume 1 (page 215). This item would convince most but the characterstic "unshaded eye" of Queen Victoria is a tell-tale distinguishing feature of this item. Unused without gum. No watermark as produced. No hidden faults. VERY LIGHTLY HINGED Mint. Original gum. Exceptionally Fine for an item of this type or period. Please look at all the scans to help form your own opinion.
